Mayor of Northampton congratulates Saints on Premiership final place

The Mayor of Northampton has congratulated the town's Saints Rugby Club after their win in the Gallagher Premiership semi-final play-off, which secured them a place in this Saturday's final at Twickenham.

Saints beat Saracens at the cinch stadium Franklin's Gardens last Friday night and will face Bath in the Premiership final.

Cllr Paul Joyce, the Mayor of Northampton, said: "On behalf of Northampton Town Council, I would like to congratulate the Saints on their fantastic win against Saracens in the Premiership semi-final match and wish them all the best for the final this Saturday at Twickenham.

"Let's bring the title home to Northampton – come on you Saints!"

Councillor Joyce added: "We are so proud to have such a high-profile club in our town and we were pleased to honour Saints player and former England Captain Courtney Lawes with the Freedom of Northampton in 2023.

"This is great news for the team and the town and we applaud their achievements."
