Northampton Philharmonic Choir has recently appointed a new Musical Director, Thomas Moore.
The choir will be holding an Open Rehearsal on Tuesday 12 September at 7.15 pm at St Michael's Church, Perry Street, Northampton, NN1 4EH.

The Amazing Northampton Run

Join us for the inaugural Amazing Northampton Run in 2023!
A loop around the town, starting at the historic Market Square, following the river past Northampton's three main sporting grounds; Sixfields stadium (football), Franklin's Gardens (rugby) and The County Ground (cricket), through two beautiful parks, passing through the modern University campus and returning to the Market Square.

Explore the Civic History of Northampton at the iconic Guildhall

As part of national celebrations for Heritage Open Days, the Northampton Guildhall will be open to the public. This is a rare chance to experience the building's spectacular interiors and see a wonderful example of Victorian architecture.
Guided tours including the Town Hall Keeper's living quarters, the spooky basement cells and the Mayor's Parlour and corridor, where portraits of Mayors and Mayoresses from the 1940's to the present day are displayed.There will be a chance to meet the Mayor, be #mayorforaminute and learn about the civic traditions of Northampton's rich Mayoral heritage.Additional one hour walking tours will also be available at 12.30pm and 2.30pm highlighting the variety of geological stonework around Northampton town centre. These tours are free with limited places. Please book tickets in advance by emailing events@northamptontowncentre.gov.uk Northampton's rich and varied history will be brought to life through reenactors telling stories of the past, inspired by historical characters depicted within the Guildhall, including Oliver Cromwell and a local shoemaker.The Moulton Morris Men will top off a wonderful day of heritage activities, performing traditional English dances throughout the afternoon.
